Si, sicuramente queste notizia trova molto spazio sul web. Yes, certainly this news is a lot of space on the web. Molti ne parlano e da molto tempo, ma per me è nuova. Oltre al problema Alitalia ea come l’ingerenza politica ha distrutto un’ottima azienda nel giro di 10 anni, la cosa che mi ha indignato di più è il fatto che molte città stanno provvedendo a creare aeroporti “sotto casa”  e quasi sempre con partecipazione pubblica. Ho da poco cambiato notebook e dopo l’esperienza con l’Acer Aspire 5610 sul quale avevo installato Ubuntu 7.10, ho deciso di fare un salto di prestazioni e di passare al Travelmate 6592. I recently changed notebook and after the experience with the Acer Aspire 5610 on which I installed Ubuntu 7.10, I decided to make a leap in performance and go to Travelmate 6592.

Ho prima cercato di installare la Ubuntu 7.10, ma ho avuto non poche difficoltà: l’audio non funzionava, la scheda video non era riconosciuta. L’unica cosa positiva era il riconoscimento immediato della scheda di rete wireless. The only good thing was the immediate recognition of the wireless network adapter. Ieri finalmente ho scaricato la nuova distribuzione, l’ho installata e, con grande sorpresa, funziona tutto! Gnome-terminal non è “a colori” ovvero la risposta al comando “ls” non è con le directory e file colorati. Qualche problema lo ha dato anche l’audio per quanto riguarda il microfono. Some problem has also given the audio for the microphone.
