Non so quanti hanno visto Report domenica sera (27/05/08). I do not know how many have seen Sunday evening Report (27/05/08). Roba da non credere. Stuff not to believe. Oltre al problema Alitalia ea come l’ingerenza politica ha distrutto un’ottima azienda nel giro di 10 anni, la cosa che mi ha indignato di più è il fatto che molte città stanno provvedendo a creare aeroporti “sotto casa”  e quasi sempre con partecipazione pubblica. In addition to the problem and Alitalia as political interference has destroyed a company in the space of 10 years, the thing that shocked me the most is the fact that many cities are taking action to create airports "in house" and almost always with participation public. Ma che senso ha avere un aeroporto ogni 50km? But what is the point of having an airport every 50km? Perché non si migliorano le infrastrutture di collegamento verso aeroporti più grandi, poco più distanti? Why not improve the infrastructure links to larger airports, little more distant?  Chi redige le valutazioni di impatto ambientale? Who prepares the environmental impact assessments?

E’ praticamente impossibile, descrivere in questo piccolo post tutto il messaggio lanciato dalla Gabanelli, giornalista che apprezzo e stimo tantissimo, e nemmeno ne ho l’intenzione. E 'practically impossible to describe in this small post across the message launched by Gabanelli, a journalist who appreciate and respect so much, nor do I intend. Poche cose le voglio però riportare. Few things but I want to report it.

In Spagna ci sono tanti aeroporti quanto in Italia. In Spain there are as many airports in Italy. Tutti in attivo. All in surplus. Si alimentano a vicenda. Operano all’interno di un piano integrato dei trasporti che fa sinergia con le ferrovie.  Una sola società li gestisce tutti. Feed on each other. Operate within an integrated transport plan that makes synergy with the railways. Only one company handles them all. Non si fanno concorrenza a vicenda. We do not compete with each other. Entro i 500-600km è preferito l’uso del treno. Within the 500-600km is preferred to use the train. Una distanza come Roma-Milano è percorsa in 2 ore!!! A distance as Rome-Milan is covered in 2 hours! In terza classe (che corrisponde ad una nostra prima..vedete il servizio) il biglietto fatto via internet costa 40€!! In the third class (which corresponds to our first .. see the service) done via the internet ticket costs 40 €!

Cosa incredibile: lo Stato non tira fuori un euro. What incredible: the state does not pull out a euro. I costi sono sostenuti dalle compagnie aeree e dai biglietti. The costs are borne by airlines and tickets.

In Italia? In Italy? Ogni città  vuole il suo aeroporto. Every city wants its airport. Si va contro le normative comunitarie per quanto riguarda le procedure di gestione ecc. It goes against the regulations regarding the management procedures and so on.  Su 45 (o 47 non ricordo) aeroporti solo una ventina sono in attivo. At 45 (or 47 do not remember) only a dozen airports are profitable. Quello di Taranto fa 10 passeggeri l’anno!!! Taranto ago to 10 passengers per year! E vuole espandersi. It wants to expand. Ogni aeroporto è gestito da una società diversa, a partecipazione pubblica…indovinate chi paga? Each airport is managed by a diverse, with Public Participation ... guess who pays? E i famosi voli low-cost? And the famous low-cost flights? Si li paghiamo noi poiché gli aeroporti fanno a gara per chi si accaparra i passeggeri e paga alle compagnie un premio in funzione dei passeggeri che portano! It will pay us because the airports are competing for those captured passengers and the airlines pay a premium according to passengers who wear! (Vedi Alghero e Ryanair…10mil di euro all’anno!). (See Alghero and Ryanair ... 10 thousand euros per year!). E che fa Ryanair? And that makes Ryanair? si oppone al prestito ponte di Alitalia perché è un aiuto pubblico! opposes the bridge loan to Alitalia because it is an aid! Siena vuole il suo aeroporto, da realizzarsi in un’oasi turistica. Siena wants its airport, to be carried out in an oasis of tourism. L’aeroporto Pisa, in attivo, è a 80km ed in treno ci si arriva in un’ora e mezza!! The airport Pisa, in surplus, and is a 80km by train to get there in an hour and a half!

Non so che parole usare per commentare. I do not know what words to use for comment.  So solo che..anzi temo e spero di sbagliare, questa trasmisisone non durerà tanto…. I know only that I fear .. indeed and I hope to get it right, this will not last much trasmisisone ....
