Condividere la posta con Thunderbird tra Linux e Windows Share your mail with Thunderbird between Linux and Windows
31 01 2008 31 01 2008 Qualche giorno fa ho scritto di un mio nuovo tentativo di passare definitivamente a Linux, in particolare alla Ubuntu 7.10, anche al lavoro. A few days ago I wrote to my new attempt to permanently switch to Linux, in particular to Ubuntu 7.10, also at work. Ho cercato di lasciare una porta aperta alle emergenze ed ho creato anche una partizione per Windows… non si sa mai. La prima difficoltà: la posta elettronica. The first difficulty: the e-mail. Ho quasi 7Gb di email attorno alle quali ruota la mia attività quotidiana. I almost 7Gb emails which revolves around my daily activities.
Ho risolto così: ho partizionato il disco in una sezione 50Gb per Windows XP, una sezione di 50Gb per Linux più la solita di swap ed il resto (circa 50Gb) per i dati formattandola in FAT32 rendendola così accessibile ad entrambi i sistemi. I solved this way: I have partitioned the disk into a section for Windows XP 50GB, 50GB a section of Linux for most of the usual swap and the rest (about 50GB) for data formatted in FAT32 thus making it accessible to both systems. Su quest’ultima, che in Ubuntu monto all’avvio come “/dati”, ho posizionato le email di Thunderbird (/dati/posta/Thundrbird/Profiles…./LocalFolder). On the latter, which in Ubuntu monto up as "/ data", I positioned the Thunderbird e-mail (/ data / mail / Thundrbird / Profiles .... / LocalFolder). Poi ho installato Thunderbird nei due sistemi operativi ed ho assegnato quel percorso di ricerca alle cartella di posta in “impostazioni account-server ecc”. Then I installed Thunderbird in the two operating systems and I gave the search path to the mail folder in "account-server settings and so on."
Così facendo indipendentemente dall’ambiente in cui opero, ho sempre la mia posta! In doing so independently by its working, I always put my!
